Set of interlocking stones, more particularly for the strengthening of slopes and the building of riverbeds, comprising base elements (1) having through openings (2), two opposite long sides (3, 4) each provided at its extremities with a part projecting beyond the plane of said long sides (3, 4) and two opposite broad sides (6, 7) each with an anchoring part (9) extending in parallel with the long sides (3, 4), characterized in that each anchoring part (9) projects beyond the side walls of the base element (1), said anchoring part being provided on both sides, at its extremities, with projecting parts (10) substantially perpendicular to the plane of the long sides (3, 4), and in that, whilst in the built-in condition, a projecting part (10) of an anchoring part (9) of a first base element (1) catches behind a projecting part (5) of a long side (3, 4) of an adjoining base element (1) and at the same time a projecting part (5) of a long side (3, 4) of the first base element catches behind a projecting part (10) of the adjoining base element (1).
