Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0016861A2] 1. A door operating device comprising a two-chamber working cylinder for moving the door (1) and the piston (3) of which is connected to the door through a piston rod, further comprising an electromagnetically actuated door valve (9) by which each chamber (5, 6) of the working cylinder can usually be connected alternately to a pressure source or a relieving location, and comprising a manually operable emergency control, characterised in that for the manual emergency operation of the door, the emergency control has a multiway valve (11) arranged in a closing line (8) of the device and which, in its unoperated position (Figures 1 and 4), has a passage for the pressure medium switched-in or switched-out by the door valve (9) and which, on switching-over (Figures 2 and 3), short circuits both chambers (5 and 6) of the working cylinder (4) for the common build-up or decline of pressure and can be mechanically latched in that position and pneumatically released to return it to its initial position, wherein a latch (12) for the multiway valve (11) can only be removed automatically with a pressure build-up initiated by the door valve (9), effecting the closing operation of the door.
