Sitzmöbel mit einem Gestell (1), einer Sitzfläche (2) und einer Rückenlehne (3), wobei die Sitzfläche relativ zum Gestell nach vorne bzw. hinten verschiebbar ist und mit ihr die an sie angelenkte und am Gestell schwenkbar gelagerte Rückenlehne, auf deren Vorderseite eine vordere Rückenplatte (4) aufliegt, die relativ zur Rückenlehne verschiebbar ist, wobei vordere Rückenplatte (4) in ihrem mittleren Bereich durch ein sich im wesentlichen horizontal erstreckendes Gelenk (C) in eine obere und eine untere Teilplatte (7, 8) unterteilt ist, und daß die untere Kante (E) der vorderen Rückenplatte (4) im wesentlichen horizontal geführt ist.
