[origin: US4311976A] A polarized reed relay comprises a bobbin with a coil wound thereon, two ferromagnetic contact reeds extending through an interior passage of the bobbin, a permanent magnet, and two pairs of pole shoes. Each contact reed is fixed at one end and has its other, free end cooperating with fixed contact portions formed by a pair of pole shoes. A relay is thus provided in which two double-throw contact systems electrically insulated from each other may be operated absolutely synchronously.

Ein polarisiertes Zungenkontaktrelais weist einen Spulenkörper mit einer darauf angeordneten Wicklung auf, zwei durch das Innere des Spulenkörpers verlaufende ferromagnetische Kontaktzungen, mindestens einen Dauermagnet sowie zwei Paare von Polschuhen. Die beiden Kontaktzungen sind jeweils an ihrem einen Ende fixiert und arbeiten mit ihrem anderen, freien Ende mit von jeweils einem Polschuhpaar gebildeten Festkontakten zusammen. Das so gebildete Relais weist zwei Umschalt-Kontaktsysteme auf, die elektrisch voneinander isoliert sind und doch absolut synchron betätigt werden können.
