Abstract (en)
The material of the mould (9) is poured up to a given level on a plate (1) carrying the model (2). The latter is surrounded by a form casing (3) and a filling frame (4). The setting of a lid (8) forms a hollow space (10) into which a combustible substance is ignited. The rapid combustion produces a pressure wave which compresses the material of the mould. The pressure drop of the pressurised gas thus obtained can be controlled or monitored by means of a diaphragm or a check valve so that in a brief lapse of time a homogeneous and dense mould is formed.

Auf eine Modellplatte (1) mit Modell (2), das von einem Formkasten (3) und einem Füllrahmen (4) umrahmt ist, wird Formstoff (9) bis zu einer bestimmten Höhe eingeschüttet. Durch Aufsetzen einer Abdeckung (8) entsteht ein Hohlraum (10), in dem ein Brennstoff gezündet wird. Durch die schnelle Verbrennung entsteht ein Druckstoss, der den Formstoff verdichtet. Das dadurch erzeugte, gespannte Gas kann durch eine Blende oder eine Klappe derart gesteuert oder geregelt entspannt werden, dass innerhalb kurzer Zeit eine homogen verdichtete Giessform entsteht.
