Wall or ceiling system consisting of a plurality of parallel disposed supporting girders (1) attached to the building structure and carrying slabs (4) extending perpendicularly to the girders (1), to which girders (1) clamping feet (3) are attached protruding outwardly or downwardly and engaging at least one slit (5) cut into the upper or back side of each slab (4), characterized in that the clamping feet (3) are flanged and distorded by pressing the slabs against the clamping feet in such a manner that their sharp free ends directed to the girders penetrate into the slab material of one of the opposite slit walls, thereby effecting the action of a barb.
