A process and a device for treating surfaces. Such a device consists of a roller 1 made of hard and rough material and movable about a shaft 2 rotating in the ends of a horseshoe support 3 integral with a bearing knob 4 and a manoeuvring handle 5. The device is applied to the surface to be treated and imparts thereto the image of the asperities present on the surface of the cylinder 1. La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif de traitement de surfaces. Un tel dispositif est constitué d'un rouleau en matière dure et rugueuse 1 mobile autour d'un axe 2 tourillonnant dans les extrémités d'un support en fer à cheval 3 solidaire d'un pommeau d'appui 4 et d'un manche de manoeuvre 5. Le dispositif est appliqué sur la surface à traiter et y imprime l'image des aspérités présentes à la surface du cylindre 1. Application à la fabrication de copies de meubles en bois ou objects métalliques anciens.
