[origin: EP0017625A1] 1. Push-button switch having a compressible switch capsule containing two diaphragms (6, 7) embedded in a ring (5) of insulating material and each provided with a connection, and a cover (16) of elastic material closing off the switch externally and capable of being pressed in for the purpose of operating the switch, in which switch the compressive force is transmitted between the cover and the capsule by an intermediate member (9, 10) of stiff material acting upon one of the diaphragms (6) by means of a soft transmission piece (10), characterized in that the intermediate member consists of a disc (9) having a hole in the middle and having a diameter exceeding the outside diameter of the switch capsule, at the marging of which disc are affixed part (11) disposed perpendicular thereto, directed toward the switch capsule, and passing outside of the outer edge of the capsule, for guiding and centring the disc (9) relative to the capsule ; that the transmission piece (10) is cup-shaped ; that this transmission piece is disposed in the said hole in such a way that its opening (13) is directed towards the capsule ; and that the diameter of this opening equals at least 3/10 of the inside diameter of the said ring.
