Abstract (en)

[origin: JPS55141371A] PURPOSE:To achieve the safety of ladle operation and the ease of the installation of levers or their disassembly work by supporting a pair of ladle stopping levers disposed symmetrically to the rotary tower by means of the specific bearings. CONSTITUTION:Bearings 14A, 14B opened upward are mounted onto a rotary tower 3 which is driven by a rack mechanism 4, so that the respective arcs 8 of fork-form ladle stopping levers 7 are supported. The respective levers may be turned and oscillated independently within the perpendicular plane with the bearings as a fulcrum by elongating or contracting the hydraulic cylinder 16 which is fixed at one end to the cross travers 20 installed to the tower and is pivotally fitted at the other end to the lower part of an L-type arm 10. At this time, the bearings support the arm 8 tiltably by means of their spherical rollers or thrust balls and therefore they withstand high load sufficiently and make the replacement and repair of the levers easy.
