1. Cutting device having a belt conveyor for the cutting of a paper sheet lying on the band conveyor from one side with a drivable circular blade arranged parallel to the direction of movement of the conveyor and perpendicular to its conveying plane, which blade cooperates in the region of the conveyor plane with a likewise rotating circular counter blade, whereby in the conveying direction the axis of the counter blade lies in front of the axis of the cutting blade, characterised in that the circular cutting blade is toothed, and that its pitch circle (17) and the primiter (11) of the counter blade (10) cut at least approximately at an angle of 90 degrees.

In einer Schuppe (1) transportierte, vorzugsweise bedruckte Blätter, Blattstapel, Hefte od. dgl., werden in gerichteter Formation wenigstens einer Schneidvorrichtung (7) zugeführt. Dort werden die beiden parallelen Rander der einzelnen Exemplare beschnitten. Erfindungsgemäß erfolgt der Schnitt absatzweise im Durchlaufverfahren. Eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens besteht im wesentlichen aus einem angetriebenen, gezahnten Rundmesser (9) und einem damit zusammenwirkenden Gegenmesser (10). Letzteres befindet sich im wesentlichen unterhalb der Schuppe (1), während die Achse des ersteren etwa in der Schuppenebene liegt. In Transportrichtung (3) der Schuppe (1) gesehen, liegt das Gegenmesser (10) vor dem gezahnten Rundmesser (9), wobei beide um etwa den Radius des gezahnten Rundmessers (9) versetzt sind.
