1. Temperature regulating switch (1) for domestic refrigerators with two different temperature regulating ranges and at least one electrical switch contact (2, 3), which is actuable for a certain temperature range by an element (15), which changes its shape in the case of temperature fluctuations, and by a setting device which is displaceable limited by end abutments (12, 14), and with an overridable detent device (4, 6), which is associated with the setting device in the displacement path (13, 9, 11) between the end abutments (12, 14) and has a respective free displacement path portion (11, 13) in front of and behind the detent, characterised thereby, that the detent device (4, 6) is associated with the middle region (9) of the displacement path (13, 9, 11) and displays a cam, which is formed in known manner by a depression (6) at the periphery of the detent device (4, 6) and into which engages a spring-loaded switch pin (4) connected with an on-off-switch contact (2), and that the displacement path (13, 9, 11) displays a portion of constant radius as middle region (9) in the rotational angle (10) corresponding to the length of the depression (6) representing the cam.

Bei einem Temperaturregelschalter mit wenigstens einem elektrischen Schaltkontakt (3), der von einem bei Temperaturschwankungen seine Form ändernden Element und von einer durch Endanschläge (12,14) begrenzt verstellbaren Einstellvorrichtung betätigbar ist, durch deren Verstellweg der Temperaturregelbereich bestimmt ist, insbesondere für Haushaltkühlgeräte, ist die Einstellvorrichtung im Verstellweg zwischen den Endanschlägen (12,14) einer überfahrbaren Rastvorrichtung (4,6) zugeordnet und vor und nach der Rastvorrichtung (4,6) je eine freie Verstellstrecke (11,13) für unterschiedliche Temperaturbereiche vorgesehen.
