Abstract (en)
A method for making a heat stabilized polyacrylonitrile biaxially oriented film by the solution casting technique is provided. After the cast film has been washed to remove solvent, it is contacted with a solution of maleic acid, sodium hydrosulfite, sodium bisulfite or a combination of ferric chloride and phosphoric acid.
