Der Gegenstand der Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Erhöhung der elektrischen Leistung von aus metallisierten textilen Flächengebilden bestehenden Heizelementen, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß das metallisierte textile Flächengebilde bei gleichbleibender angelegter äußerer elektrischer Spannung einer mechanischen Druck- bzw. Zugspannung ausgesetzt wird.
