This winch is of the differential type comprising a ring (10) capable of being blocked in rotation in order to serve as support for the system. The blocking means consist of a claw coupling (12) with a double toothing which can be displaced axially, the inner toothing (13) of which is mounted slidably on the hub of the ring and can be blocked in rotation and the outer toothing (14) of which is mounted with an angular play in an inner toothing integral with the chassis, means (17, 18, 19) being provided to block the claw coupling in translation when the outer toothing of the latter is in engagement with the inner toothing integral with the chassis. Ce treuil est du type à différentiel comportant une couronne (10) susceptible d'être bloquée en rotation pour servir d'appui au système. Les moyen de blocage sont constitués par un crabot (12) à double denture déplacable axialement, dont la denture intérieure (13) est montée coulissante sur le moyeu de la couronne pouvant être bloquée en rotation et dont la denture extérieure (14) est montée avec un jeu angulaire dans une denture intérieure solidaire du châssis, des moyens (17, 18, 19) étant prévus pour assurer le blocage en translation du crabot lorsque la denture extérieure de celui-ci est en prise avec la denture intérieure solidaire du châssis. Application à l'équipement de véhicules.
