A powder-form softening detergent for light-wash textiles based on nonionic polyoxyalkylene surfactants, amphoteric-ion surfactants, cationic substances, alkanolamides and at least 50% by weight of other standard ingredients of a light-wash detergent, characterized in that it contains a) from 5 to 20% by weight of an aliphatic polyglycol ether or of a mixture of several polyglycol ethers corresponding to the following formula see diagramm : EP0019734,P6,F2 in which R**1 represents a straight-chain C8 -C20 alkyl or alkenyl group, R**2 represents hydrogen or a C1 -C4 alkyl group, and n has a value of from 2 to 20 and/or of a C8 -C15 alkylarylpolyglycol ether containing from 3 to 15 ethoxy units, b) from 1 to 10% by weight of a C12 -C18 fatty acid ethanolamide, c) from 1 to 10% by weight of an amphoteric-ion compound corresponding to the following formula see diagramm : EP0019734,P6,F3 in which R**3 represents a C10 -C22 aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or alkylaromatic radical and preferably a C12 -C22 straight-chain alkyl radical, R**4 represents a C1 -C4 alkyl radical or a C2 -C4 hydroxyalkyl radical or a polyether radical corresponding to the following formula (CH2 -CH2 -O)m -H with m=2-5, R**5 has the same meaning as R**4 or represents a phenyl, benzyl or tolyl radical, R**6 represents an alkylene or hydroxyalkylene radical containing from 1 to 4 C-atoms, X represents the groups -COO**- , -O-SO3 **-- or -SO3 **-- , d) from 2 to 10% by weight of a textile-softening quaternary ammonium salt selected from derivatives of ammonia and/or imidazoline containing two aliphatic radicals each with 16-20 carbon atoms and at least one quaternary nitrogen atom in the molecule, e) from 50 to 91% by weight of standard ingredients of a light-wash detergent except for anionic surfactants.
