Die vorliegende Erfindung befaßt sich mit einem Schubrost, der einander überlappende, abwechselnd feststehende und in Längsrichtung des Schubrostes bewegliche Rostplatten, ferner mit einer schlitzartigen Ausnehmung versehen Rostplattenträger, weiterhin diese Ausnehmungen durchgreifende, mit ihrem einen Ende in die zugehörige Rostplatte eingehängte Zugorgane sowie zwischen dem anderen Ende der Zugorgane und einem die schlitzartige Ausnehmung enthaltenden Steg der Rostplattenträger angeordnete Federelemente zur Vorspannung der Verbindung zwischen Rostplatten und Rostplattenträgern enthält. Um beispielsweise auch bei einer übermäßigen Längendehnung der Zugorgane oder bei einem Bruch der Federelemente eine zuverlässige Befestigung der Rostplatten auf den Rostplattenträger zu erzielen, ist der Steg (7) mit der schlitzartigen Ausnehmung (6) gegenüber der Horizontalen geneigt angeordnet, und die Einhängestelle (14) des Zugorgans (4) an der Rostplatte (1) weist einen größeren Abstand vom tiefer liegenden Ende als vom höher liegenden Ende der schlitzartigen Ausnehmung (6) auf.
