[origin: WO8001065A1] When preparing hydrogen from hydrocarbons and water vapor, a substantial amount of heat necessary to bring the initial materials to the reaction temperature and to the endothermic reaction is recovered from the substantial heat of the reaction products. Additional heat is brought in by means of electric heating. Lors de la preparation d'hydrogene a partir d'hydrocarbures et de vapeur d'eau, une quantite importante de chaleur, necessaire pour amener les matieres de depart a la temperature de reaction et pour la reaction endothermique est recuperee a partir de la chaleur sensible des produits de reaction. De la chaleur supplementaire est introduite au moyen d'un chauffage electrique. Dans le dispositif pour la mise en oeuvre du procede, on dispose le recuperateur (5), le reacteur (6) et le chauffage supplementaire (7) dans un recipient sous pression commun (2).
