[origin: WO8001160A1] To date, commercial and industrial washing applications have required substantially continuous detergent addition, which has resulted in problems of maintaining consistency in the composition and strength of the added detergent as well as in cost and safety problems. These problems are solved by providing a detergent dispenser (20) for efficiently converting one or more solid block detergent compositions into concentrated detergent solutions as disclosed. A housing (21) defines a substantially enclosed inner cavity (30), and access and discharge ports (32) and (34) respectively. Retaining means (40) holds a charge of solid block detergent composition (100-103), in fixed position, exposing at least one broad surface (100a) of the detergent block. Nozzle means (61) directs a pressurized liquid spray against substantially the entire exposed detergent surface(s), dissolving a portion thereof, which is collected by the housing (30b) and passed through the discharge port. The retaining means may be a removable cartridge receptacle member which may include an overlying screen member (50) and may be configured to define a plurality of different receptacles (46, 47). Closure means (44) and safety switching means (70, 72) cooperably prevent hazardous spray from leaving the inner cavity.

De nos jours, les lessives commerciales et industrielles demandent de plus en plus l'addition sensible de detergents, ce qui a entraine des problemes pour maintenir la consistance de la composition et la force du detergent ajoute ainsi que des problemes de cout et de securite. Ces problemes sont resolus par un distributeur de detergent (20) qui convertit de maniere efficace une ou plusieurs compositions de lessive en bloc solide en des solutions de lessive concentrees. Un logement (21) defini une cavite interieure sensiblement fermee (30), et des orifices d'acces et de decharge (32 et 34) respectivement. Des moyens de retenue (40) tiennent une charge de composition de detergent en bloc solide (100-103), en position fixe, exposant au moins une grande surface (100a) du bloc de detergent. Un ajutage (61) dirigent un liquide sous pression par vaporisation contre toute(s) la (les) surfaces) de detergent exposee(s), pour en dissoudre une partie, qui est recuperee par le logement (30b) et passe au travers de l'orifice de decharge. Les moyens de retenue peuvent se presenter sous forme d'un organe receptacle de cartouche amovible qui peut comprendre un ecran de superposition (50) et dont la forme peut definir une pluralite de receptacles differents (46, 47). Des moyens de fermeture (44) et des moyens commutateurs de securite (70, 72) empechent toute fuite hors de la cavite interne d'une vaporisation accidentelle.
