Bulky loads are to be moved successively in the vertical direction and then in the horizontal direction. The load is put down on a load- carrying part (10) which can be moved in the horizontal direction after the desired height is reached. By the movement in the horizontal direction, the load reaches a location intended for its final storage, for example a platform. Sperrige Lasten sollen nacheinander in vertikaler und sodann in horizontaler Richtung bewegt werden. Die Last wird auf einem lasttragenden Teil (10) abgestellt, der nach Erreichen der erwünschten Höhe in horizontaler Richtung verfahrbar ist. Durch das Verfahren in horizontaler Richtung gelangt die Last an eine für ihre endgültige Lagerung vorgesehene Stelle, beispielsweise eine Plattform. Während des Anhebens ist die Last auf dem lasttragenden Teil verriegelt.
