Commutator characterised in that the copper disc forming the plurality of commutator strips (1) comprises a tubular hub (5) and in that prior to the operation for moulding the insulating base, the radial splines (7) forming projecting ribs on one of the faces of the disc, are eliminated, by stamping, in line with the outside diameter of the tubular hub over a radial length such that a ring of material (6), of predetermined width, is obtained over the periphery of the disc, which tubular hub and which ring are eliminated during a subsequent machining phase. <IMAGE>

Ce collecteur frontal est caractérisé en ce que le disque de cuivre formant la pluralité de lames collectrices (1), comprend un moyeu tubulaire (5) et en ce qu'avant l'opération de moulage du support isolant, les rainures radiales (7), formant des nervures en saillie sur l'une des faces du disque, sont supprimées, par poinçonnage, au droit du diamètre extérieure du moyeu tubulaire sur une longueur radiale telle qu'une couronne de matière (6), de largeur prédéterminée, soit obtenue sur la périphérie du disque lequel moyeu tubulaire et laquelle couronne sont supprimés au cours d'une phase ultérieure d'usinage.
