[origin: US4301698A] The device comprises a fluid-tight and flexible reservoir for a pasty substance fixed in a fluid-tight housing, the outlet orifice from this reservoir for the pasty substance including a cut-off valve which can be opened by contact with the surface of an article. The housing is connected to a source of pressurized gas. The housing includes a cylinder and a piston. Apparatus are provided to control the sliding of this piston to the end of a cylinder, so as to extend the nozzle outwards and a spring is provided to bring back the piston into the housing. The invention is useful for marking mass-produced articles.

Le dispositif comprend un réservoir à substance pâteuse 5 étanche et souple fixé dans un boîtier étanche 7, l'orifice de sortie de la substance pâteuse de ce réservoir comportant un clapet d'obturation 10 pouvant être ouvert par contact avec l'objet 4. Le boîtier 7 est relié à une source de gaz sous pression 18. Le boîtier 7 comprend un cylindre 12 et un piston 15. Des moyens sont prévus pour commander le coulissement de ce piston 15 vers l'extrémité du cylindre, de façon à faire saillir la buse 8 à l'extérieur et un ressort 16 est prévu pour rappeler le piston 15 vers le boîtier 7. Application au marquage des pièces produites en série.
