Abstract (en)
The device comprises a hollow body (1) in which is provided a reservoir of material to be sprinkled, a hollow sprinkling head (10, 11) of lenticular form provided with orifices along its periphery, and a dispenser (15, 16) nesting over the body (1). The base of the reservoir has two holes (6, 7). The dispenser has two chambers of calibrated volume (17, 18) which are open at their two ends. A flap (19), pierced by a perforation (21), is rendered integral with the body (1) when the various elements are assembled by means of a screw (20). The dispenser (15, 16) can be hand actuated in order to give it a rotational alternate relative movement, at a very specific angle, about the axis of the device. In one of the extreme positions of the dispenser, the chamber (17) is placed in communication with the reservoir via the hole (6), whilst the other chamber (18) is placed in communication with the head (10, 11) by the perforation (21). In the other extreme position, it is the chamber (18) which is connected to the reservoir via the hole (7), whilst the chamber (17) is then connected to the sprinkling head via the perforation (21). Thus, by actuating the device, a unit of material which is equal to the volume of one of the chambers (17, 18) is caused to fall into the head (10, 11) on each stroke, which makes it possible to accurately measure the sprinkling. <IMAGE>

L'appareil comprend un corps creux (1) dans lequel est ménagé un réservoir de matière à saupoudrer, une tête creuse de saupoudrage (10, 11) de forme lenticulaire pourvue d'orifices le long de sa périphérie, et un distributeur (15, 16) s'emboîtant sur le corps (1). Le fond du réservoir présente deux trous (6, 7). Le distributeur présente deux chambres de volume calibré (17, 18) ouvertes à leurs deux extrémités. Un clapet (19), percé d'un passage (21) est rendu solidaire du corps (1) lorsque les différents organes sont assemblés au moyen d'une vis (20). Le distributeur (15, 16) peut être actionné à la main pour lui donner un mouvement relatif alterné de rotation, d'un angle bien déterminé, autour de l'axe de l'appareil. Dans une des positions extrêmes du distributeur, la chambre (17) est mise en communication avec le réservoir par le trou (6), tandis que l'autre chambre (18) est mise en communication avec la tête (10, 11) par le passage (21). Dans l'autre position extrêmee, c'est la chambre (18) qui est reliée au réservoir, par le trou (7), tandis que la chambre (17) est alors reliée à la tête de saupoudrage par le passage (21). Ainsi, en actionnant l'appareil, on fait, à chaque course, tomber dans la tête (10, 11) une unité de matière égale au volume d'une des chambres (17, 18), ce qui permet de doser avec exactitude le saupoudrage.
