1. A process for the production of a high voltage insulation by coating a body which is to be insulated with layers of cellulose fibre which are no longer separable in such manner that these layers represent equipotential surfaces, characterized in that the body to be insulated which is covered with the wet, fibre-oriented cellulose, is covered with at least one layer of a moisture-permeable, elastically, stretchable fabric and is dried using devices which additionally ensure the prescribed geometry of the body.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Hochspannungsisolierung, insbesondere eine elektrische Spule. Die Beschichtung (4) besteht aus nicht mehr trennbaren Schichten faserorientierter Cellulose, insbesondere einer in einer Fläche orientierten. Die Beschichtung wird so aufgebracht, daß die Flächen der Faserorientierung im wesentlichen elektrische Äquipotentialflächen sind. Die Beschichtung wird unter Formzwang getrocknet. Gummigewebe und feuchtigkeitsdurchlässige, dehnungselastische Kunststoffilamente haben hierfür den Vorrang.
