Die Erfindung betrifft einen Stromleiter (1) der Starkstromtechnik, welcher zur Verminderung der Leitungsverluste infolge von Stromverdrängung bei Wechselstrombetrieb in parallelgeschaltete, nebeneinanderlaufende und gegeneinander isolierte sowie abwechselnd bezüglich ihrer gegenseitigen Lage vertauscht geführte Teilleiter (2, 2') unterteilt ist, wobei die Teilleiter (2, 2') aus koaxial angeordneten Rohrabschnitten (3, 3') verschiedener Weiten bestehen, deren Enden durch Übergänge (4) miteinander verbunden sind.
