Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8002733A1] Process for constructing a tank for storing natural gas liquefied at a low temperature. This process comprises the securing on the inner wall (22) of the concrete tank (3) a first thin coating (21) forming a first sealing barrier, then filling completely the space between the chamber (2) and the concrete tank (3) by means of a heat insulation structure comprising an assembly of piled up blocks (25) of insulating material, associated to a second thin coating (24) forming a second sealing barrier, said structure being carried by the concrete tank and arranged simply around the inner chamber. The construction process applies particularly to tanks for storing liquefied natural gas implanted on the ground.
