This device includes a line (1) having two conductors (2, 3) and a transmitter/receiver unit (4) of electrical oscillations which is connected to each of the ends of the line, this unit having an output (12) for triggering an alarm through phase discrimination between the oscillations transmitted and the oscillations received. The device is characterised in that it further includes a power amplifier (7) connected between a transmission output (5) of the transmitter/receiver unit (4) and the first end (6) of the line (1) and an attenuator (10) connected between the second end (9) of the line and a reception input (8) of the transmitter/receiver unit (4). Ce dispositif comprend une ligne (1) à deux conducteurs (2, 3) et un ensemble émetteur-récepteur (4) d'oscillations électriques connecté à chacune des extrémités de la ligne, cet ensemble présentant une sortie de déclenchement d'alarme (12) par discrimination de phase entre les oscillation émises et les oscillations reçues. Le dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre un amplificateur de puissance (7) connecté entre une sortie d'émission (5) de l'ensemble émetteur-récepteur (4) et la première extrémité (6) de la ligne (1) et un atténuateur (10) connecté entre la deuxième extrémité (9) de la ligne et une entrée de réception (8) de l'ensemble émetteur-récepteur (4). Application à la détection d'intrusions dans un site protégé.
