In a separator whose centrifugal drum consists of two, in particular, conical parts (1, 23) connected to one another in rotationally symmetrical fashion, the conical parts (1, 3) form in the region of their greatest diameter a changeable annular gap (4) for the discharge of the solids. In order to connect the rotationally symmetrical parts (1, 2, 3) of the centrifugal drum in a particularly simple, space-saving and cost- effective manner, the centrifugal drum parts (1, 2, 3) are connected to one another by means of bolts (9) which are arranged distributed uniformly in the peripheral region in the circumferential direction. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Separator, dessen Zentrifugentrommel aus zwei miteinander rotationssymmetrisch verbundenen, insbesondere konischen Teilen (1, 23) besteht, bilden die konischen Teile (1, 3) im Bereich ihres größeren Durchmessers einen veränderlichen Ringspalt (4) für den Außlaß der Feststoffe. Um die rotationssymmetrischen Teile (1, 2, 3) der Zentrifugentrommel in besonders einfacher, raum- und kostensparender Weise miteinander zu verbinden, sind die Zentrifugentrommelteile (1, 2, 3) durch Bolzen (9) miteinander verbunden, die im peripheren Bereich in Umfangsrichtung gleichmäßig verteilt angeordnet sind.
