[origin: WO8100419A1] The coating device comprises an oven (1) which encloses a crucible (4) and a lateral distribution conduit (3) of which the outlet leads into a clearing (2) open outwardly, used to distribute the molten metal through out the width of the metal strip (6) to be coated. This strip (6) is driven by a feeding reel (7) to a storing reel (8) while passing on a positioning roller (10) facing the clearing (2), the spacing between said roller and the clearing edge being adjustable by means of screw (15). A ramp of burners (16) is provided facing the back of the strip (6), upstream of the clearing (2) to heat this strip before the passage thereof in front of the clearing (2). A molten metal bath is thus constantly maintained between this clearing (2) and the face to be coated of the strip (6) which is covered with a metal layer as it moves.
