[origin: WO8001736A1] The multiple function switch for electrical apparatuses such as hair dryers or similar, comprises a switching ring (10) arranged outside the casing of the apparatus and mounted so as it may be moved axially with respect to the casing and rotatingly about a rotation axis (28) extending inside the casing. This switching ring (10) is connected axially with the slider (22) of a slider electrical switch by a first transmission element (18) yet allowing a rotation of the switching ring about the axis (28). This first transmission element (18) is connected rotatingly to a second transmission element (20) with respect to which it is axially movable and which forms the actuating member of a rotary electric resistance (9) actuable by a rotation motion.
