Fireproof steel locker, safe or the like, in which there is a double wall (6, 9) filled with a chemical solid (41) with a melting point of approximately 30 DEG to 40 DEG . At a normal outside temperature, the chemical solid does not melt. Under the influence of increased temperatures as a result of a fire or the like in the surroundings of the steel locker, safe or the like, the heat energy acting on the locker is consumed over a relatively long period of time in order to pass the melting point of the chemical solid (41). <IMAGE>

Feuerfester Stahlschrank, Tresor oder dergleichen, bei dem eine Doppelwandung (6,9) vorgesehen ist, die mit einem chemischen Feststoff (41) mit einem Schmelzpunkt von etwa 30° bis 40° ausgefüllt ist. Bei normaler Aussentemperatur kommt der chemische Feststoff nicht zum Schmelzen. Bei erhöhten Temperatureinflüssen infolge eines Brandes oder dergleichen in der Umgebung des Stahlschrankes, Tresors oder dergleichen wird die auf den Schrank wirkende Wärmeenergie über einen längeren Zeitraum für die Überwindung des Schmelzpunktes des chemischen Feststoffes (41) verbraucht.
