[origin: DE2953538A1] The sheet cutting and folding system at the delivery end of a printing machine includes a collector cylinder (5) and cutting cylinder (6) underneath a funnel through which the printed web (1) passes. The web is pulled by a pair of rollers (4) and guided around the collector cylinder which has a perforator (10) projecting from its surface. The cutting cylinder which rotates against it, has a cutting blade (14) diametrically opposite a double cutting blade (13). The double blade can cut a strip which has been perforated from the cut sheet, which is afterwards removed before the folded sheet is released.. The mechanism is for cutting double pages forming four sides of e.g. brochures. The system can include an adhesive applicator which is operated cyclically so that multiple page sections can be built up. The perforator enables a collector roller with a hardened surface to be used, without being out of balance so that oscillation is not generated. The position of the cut is accurately maintained.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Falzapparat an Rollenrotationsdruckmaschinen zum Längsfalzen, zum Querschneiden der Papierbahn und zum Sammeln von abgetrennten Exemplaren auf einem Sammelzylinder (5), der mit einem Messerzylinder (6) zusammenwirkt, wobei der Sammelzylinder (5) eine ungerade Anzahl von Punkturreihen (10, 10', 10") am Zylinderumfang und der Messerzylinder (6) eine gerade Anzahl Schneideinrichtungen (11, 12) am Messerzylinderumfang für die längsgefalzte Papierbahn aufweist und bei dem die gesammelten Exemplare fertig beschnitten ausgelegt werden.
