Ladle stand for carrying out metallurgical treatments of steel melts (2), in particular for post-treatment after refining, for deoxidizing, adjusting the alloying contents, desulphurizing and separating undesired inclusions, comprising a ladle (1) movable into the stand and a liftable and lowerable cover (6) placeable into position above the ladle mouth (8), which cover includes one or several passage openings (29) for passing lances (5) carrying treating agents and mounted on a lance carrier (23), characterized in that a) the cover (6) is suspended on the upper structure (13) of the ladle stand on three suspension points (10, 11, 12) by means of which the cover (6), after retracting the lance(s) (5) and moving the ladle (1) out of the stand, is pivotable from its horizontal position into an upright position ; b) after pivoting the cover (6) into the upright position, the lance (5) is detachable from the lance carrier (23) and movable to a lance deposit (28) as well as movable back.
