[origin: US4357593A] Guidance recommendations are cyclically emitted by stationary beacons (transmitters) to all passing vehicles. In the vehicle, the information belonging to the vehicle's travel destination are selected from the totality of the guidance recommendations. This selection occurs with the assistance of the coordinates of a selection network which exhibits selection fields arranged in concentric rings. The side lengths of the selection fields increase exponentially outwardly of the network mid-point. The guidance beacon, as well as each vehicle which passes the guidance beacon, are situated in the mid-point of the selection network. Thus, the coordinate system of the guidance beacon also applies to the travel destination selected in the vehicle.

Von ortsfesten Baken (Sendern) werden Leitempfehlungen an alle passierenden Fahrzeuge zyklisch abgestrahlt. Aus der Gesamtheit der Leitempfehlungen werden im Fahrzeug die zum eigenen Fahrtziel gehörenden Informationen ausgewählt. Diese Auswahl erfolgt mit Hilfe der Koordinaten eines Selektionsnetzes, das in konzentrischen Ringen angeordnete Selektionsfelder besitzt. Die Seitenlängen der Selektionsfelder nehmen nach außen hin exponentiell zu. Im Mittelpunkt des Selektionsnetzes befindet sich die Leitbake und auch jedes Fahrzeug, das die Leitbake passiert. Somit gilt das Koordinatensystem der Leitbake auch für das im Fahrzeug gewählte Fahrtziel.
