[origin: EP0025215A2] A contact for an ultrasonic transducer is described in which a foam plastic plate (2) is glued to a piezoelectric element (1), and which has an inner electrode (10) which has a contact to an external terminal. The aim is to create a contact for the inner electrode (10) that is technically as simple as possible and also more reliable. For this purpose, the procedure is to provide the foam plastic plate (2) with a metallic coating (22) at least at that one of its faces at which the piezoelectric element (1) and a weighting ring (3) are to be attached.
