Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0025861A1] 1. Coupling device for so-called power-and-free continuous conveyor systems, equipped with conveyor wagons adapted to be moved along a suspended conveyor track arranged underneath the dragging device - e. g. a conveyor chain, circulating continuously or individual self-propelled trolleys, running on rails - each of said wagons is provided with one driving head and with one actuating head for cooperating with a coupling device (K), which is arranged on said dragging device and that the coupling device (K) comprises two flight attachment bodies (21, 22) which are arranged mirror-inverted and are journalled pivotably on a common axle (9), and that the flight attachment bodies (21, 22) are provided with chamfers (24) for facilitating the coupling action and that the flight attachment bodies (21, 22), whilst hanging down freely, form a pocket (T) in the vicinity of their centres, said pocket is adapted in such a manner, that the driving head is allowed to slip out laterally of the pocket (T), characterized in that both flight attachment bodies (21, 22) are pressure die-castings of sound deadening material, said castings are equipped in the vicinity of their cooperating faces with longitudinal rips (39, 39') in parallel and inter - locking arrangement and that a stop body (43) is arranged between the bearing bores (41, 42), said stop body is journalled around an axle (9) and arranged between the inner walls of the flight attachment bodies (21, 22) and that the said stop body limits the final position of each flight attachment body (21, 22).
