Process for the tufting of carpets or similar products on a prestressed basic fabric (1) moved to a cloth beam (4) or the like, with a hollow needle (10) which forms the two-legged shag next to one another by a double insertion from the rear side of the fabric by the amount of a stitch length and which guides the yarn, from which the yarn length forming the shag is cut off by a cutting device (30), one end of a plurality of possibly variously coloured yarns of a yarn store (40) being brought into alignment with the tip of the hollow needle (10) on the shag side of the basic fabric, the yarn length (13) for the individual shag being drawn into the needle after the insertion of the needle through the basic fabric, the hollow needle (10) being guided back through the basic fabric (1) together with the yarn end (12), the yarn (13) being severed approximately at shag height and a relative movement by the amount of a shag width (16) being brought about between the basic fabric and the needle (10), and the hollow needle (10) being inserted once again through the basic fabric (1), and the other yarn end being stripped from the hollow needle (10) and a new yarn length (13) thereafter being drawn in. <IMAGE>

Verfahren zum Tuften von Teppichen o.dgl. Ware auf einem vorgespannten und zu einem Warenbaum (4) o.dgl. bewegten Grundgewebe (1) mit einer durch zweimaliges Einstechen von der Geweberückseite her um die Stichlänge nebeneinander die zweischenkelige Noppe bildenden Hohlnadel (10), die den Faden führt, von dem die die Noppe bildende Fadenlänge durch eine Schneideinrichtung (30) abgeschnitten wird, wobei ein Ende von mehreren, ggf. verschiedenfarbigen, Fäden eines Fadenspeichers (40) auf der Noppenseite des Grundgewebes in Flucht mit der Spitze der Hohlnadel (10) gebracht, die Fadenlänge (13) für die einzelne Noppe nach dem Durchstechen der Nadel durch das Grundgewebe in die Nadel eingezogen, die Hohlnadel (10) mit dem Fadenende (12) durch das Grundgewebe (1) zurückgeführt, dabei der Faden (13) etwa in Noppenhöhe durchtrennt und zwischen dem Grundgewebe und der Nadel (10) eine Relativbewegung um eine Noppenbreite (16) bewirkt, sowie die Hohlnadel (10) erneut durch das Grundgewebe (1) hindurchgestochen und dabei das andere Fadenende aus der Hohlnadel (10) gestreift und anschließend eine neue Fadenlänge (13) eingezogen wird.
