A wall building block in the form of a horizontal or vertical coring block is provided with a peripheral joint (5) running essentially parallel to the plane of the wall, wherein, for a thermally and acoustically favourable design, the block masses to the right and to the left of this joint (5) are distributed unevenly and the lamellar webs (1) have varying wall thicknesses. The surfaces of the webs (1) are corrugated or provided with ribs (9). Ein Wandbaustein in Gestalt eines Langloch- oder Hochlochsteins ist mit einer im wesentlichen parallel zur Wandebene umlaufenden Fuge (5) versehen, wobei für eine wärme- und schalltechnisch günstige Ausbildung die Steinmassen rechts und links dieser Fuge (5) ungleich verteilt sind und die lamellenartigen Stege (1) unterschiedliche Wanddicken haben. Die Oberflächen der Stege (1) sind gewellt oder mit Rippen (9) versehen. Bei Ausbildung als Langlochstein ist in der Ebene der umlaufenden Fuge (5) ein mit schall- bzw. wärmeisolierenden Stoffen gefüllter Hohlraum vorgesehen, der auch durch Stege (8) unterteilt sein kann.
