1. Apparatus for automatic feeding of rod material (1) to the bending tools (11) of a bending machine for reinforcing concrete stirrups, by using at least one driven pair of coacting feed rolls (6, 7; 25, 26) overlapping the material in a conjugate form, which rolls are guided such that they are shiftable against each another in their plane and can be separated in case of need, and a rod thrower (18) which throws the rod ends perpendicular to the rod axis, characterized in that the feed rolls (6, 7; 25, 26) can be moved apart to such an extent that an exit of the rod material from the rolls' gap in a direction perpendicular to the rolls' plane is enabled, in that the rod thrower (18) is disposed in the range of the rolls' gap and in that before and/or behind the pair of feed rolls (6, 7; 25, 26) straight rod guides (5, 9; 28, 29) are disposed, from which, by means of the rod thrower (18), simultaneously with the enlargement of the roll's gap also a side exit passage can be opened for the rod material.

Bei dieser Einrichtung ist mindestens ein antreibbares und das Stabmaterial formschlüssig übergreifendes Paar von zusammenwirkenden Vorschubrollen (6, 7) vorgesehen. Um die Mindestlänge unverwertbarer Stabreststücke gering zu halten und ein Entfernen langer Stabreststücke aus der Biegemaschine ohne Störungs- und Verletzungsgefahr zu ermöglichen, sind die beiden Vorschubrollen (6, 7) gegeneinander in ihrer Ebene verschiebbar geführt und so weit auseinanderbewegbar, daß ein Austritt von Stabmaterial aus dem Rollenspalt in Richtung senkrecht zur Rollenebene möglich ist, und es ist ein in dieser Austrittsrichtung wirksamer Stabauswerfer (18) vorgesehen, der automatisch gleichzeitig mit einer Vergrößerung des Rollenspaltes betätigbar ist.
