Grinding machine (1) for cutting tools (2) with which cylindrical or approximately cylindrical bores can be machined. The grinding machine (1) is distinguished by a plurality of features for setting the angular position of the cutting tool (2). The associated grinding wheel (6) is of hollow-cylindrical, cup-shaped design. The cutting tool (2) can be pivoted about two pivoting axes arranged at right angles to one another. The pivoting axis (11) is arranged parallel to the rotational axis (9) of the grinding wheel (6) and represents an extended generating line of the inner periphery (14) of the grinding wheel. The second pivoting axis for setting the correct position of the cutting surface of the tool (2) relative to the rotational axis (9) of the grinding wheel (6) is arranged at right angles to the first pivoting axis and passes through the longitudinal centre of the cutting edge (3) to be machined. Schleifmaschine (1) für Schneidmesser (2), mit denen zylindrische oder angenähert zylindrische Bohrungen bearbeitet werden können. Die Schleifmaschine (1) zeichnet sich durch eine Mehrzahl von Einstellmöglichkeiten der Winkellage des Schneidmessers (2) aus. Die zugehörige Schleifscheibe (6) ist hohlzylindrisch, topfförmig ausgebildet. Das Schneidmesser (2) kann um zwei rechtwinklig zueinander angeordnete Schwenkachsen geschwenkt werden. Die Schwenkachse (11) ist parallel zur Drehachse (9) der Schleifscheibe (6) angeordnet und stellt eine verlängerte Mantellinie des inneren Umfangs (14) der Schleifscheibe dar. Die zweite Schwenkachse zur Einstellung der richtigen Lage der Schnittfläche des Messers (2) relativ zur Drehachse (9) der Schleifscheibe (6) ist rechtwinklig zur ersten angeordnet und geht durch die Längsmitte der zu bearbeitenden Schneidkante (3). Zusätzlich werden für unterschiedliche Schneiden (3) eines Schneidmessers (2) oder für unterschiedliche Schneidmesser (2) austauschbare Trägersegmente (15) vorgesehen.
