[origin: US4364668A] An analog display timepiece includes an hours hand and a minutes hand. A control in association with electronic means enables transformation of the minutes hand into a seconds hand and the hours hand into a minutes hand which advances through an angle of 30 DEG per minute. In one version a first operation of the control positions the hands at noon and stops them. A second operation starts the timing operation with a span of 12x60 seconds. A third operation stops the timing and a fourth operation returns the hands to display the actual time of day following which operation is normal.

La pièce d'horlogerie à affichage analogique comprend une aiguille des heures et une aiguille des minutes. Une commande associée à un dispositif électronique permet de transformer l'aiguille des minutes en aiguille des secondes et l'aiguille des heures en aiguille des minutes qui progresse d'un angle de 30° par minute. Dans une forme d'exécution de l'invention, une première action sur la commande positionne les aiguilles à midi après quoi les aiguilles s'arrêtent. Une deuxième action fait démarrer le chronométrage à autonomie de 12 x 60 secondes. Une troisième action stoppe le chronométrage et une quatrième action fait retourner les aiguilles à l'heure et à la minute réelles après quoi elles affichent l'heure et la minute. L'invention s'applique à des pièces d'horlogerie à mouvement simplifié.
