Abstract (en)
A method of making a flexible bag for the transportation of material comprises the steps of weaving a base fabric from body yarns, superimposing in selected areas warp ends of reinforcing yarns during weaving of the base fabric, forming the fabric so-formed into a bag, and attaching lifting means to the bag at selected areas having reinforcing yarns. The tension of the reinforcing yarns during weaving is controllable independently of the tension of the body yarns, for example by feeding the reinforcing yarns from separate beams, beamettes and creels.
