A packaging box as a storage container for at least one web of film, in particular for a transparent film, wound into a film roll, having a passage aperture for the web of film which can be removed from the storage container through said passage aperture and having an abrasive tear-off edge for separating the web of film which is held against the tear-off edge for this purpose, and a process for the production of the packaging box, are to be improved in such a way that the tear-off edge of the packaging box has an adhesive strength which is as high as possible and a low susceptibility to damage during use, allows straight-line separation of the web of film and does not harbour any risk of injury. This is achieved by a packaging box (1), the tear-off edge of which is a corrugated cutting edge (13) having a coating (16) applied on the inside of the latter with grain particles producing projections - preferably corundum grains embedded in glue, the coating being at least partially provided on the narrow edge surface (s) of the corrugated cutting edge and on at least one surface (m) of the cutting piece. For this purpose, a cutting piece is produced from a sheet of cardboard or a corresponding workpiece and a corrugated cutting edge (13) from the packaging blank is coated with a mixture (29) of adhesive and corundum grains present in the latter. <IMAGE>

Eine Verpackungsschachtel als Aufbewahrungsbehälter für wenigstens eine Folienbahn, insbesondere für eine - zu einer Folienrolle gewickelte - Klarsichtfolie mit einer Durchlauföffnung für die durch diese aus dem Aufbewahrungsbehälter entnehmbare Folienbahn und mit einer abrasiven Abreißkante zum Zertrennen der hierzu an die Abreißkante herangeführte Folienbahn, sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung jener Verpackungsschachtel, sollen so verbessert werden, daß die Abreißkante der Verpackungsschachtel eine möglichst hohe Haftfestigkeit sowie geringe Anfälligkeit beim Gebrauch aufweist, ein geradliniges Zertrennen der Folienbahn ermöglicht und keine Verletzungsgefahr in sich birgt. Dies wird durch eine Verpackungsschachtel (1) erreicht, deren Abreißkante eine gewellte Zuschnittkante (13) mit einer auf diese innig aufgetragenen Beschichtung (16) mit Vorsprünge erzeugenden Kornpartikeln - bevorzugt in Leim eingebetteten Korundkörnern - ist, wobei die Beschichtung an der schmalen Kantenfläche (s) der gewellten Zuschnittkante sowie an wenigstens einer Fläche (m) des Zuschnittes zumindest teilweise vorgesehen ist. Hierzu wird aus einem Kartonblatt oder einem entsprechenden Werkstück ein Zuschnitt gefertigt sowie aus dem Verpackungszuschnitt eine gewellte Zuschnittkante (13) mit einem Gemisch (29) aus Kleber und in diesem vorhandenen Korundkörnern beschichtet.
