Abstract (en)
The device comprises an inclined conducting plate (1) defining, in cooperation with a vertical conducting plate (8) arranged plumb with the central portion of the plate (1), a V-shaped longitudinal space (12) comprising at the lower part thereof a longitudinal opening (13). A hopper (15) arranged plumb with the plates (1 and 8) supplies the space (12) with thermoplastic material, which material is maintained at a molten state at the plates (1 and 8) by heating these plates by Joule effect. The molten bath thus provided in the space (12) gives rise to the formation of an even molten layer (25) flowing continuously by gravity along the lower portion (1b) of the plate (1). The flowing portion (25) arriving at the level of the lower edge (2) of the plate (1) is then subjected to a strong electrostatic field sufficiently concentrated on that lower edge (field provided by application, on a counter electrode 18 located at a distance from the edge 2, of D.C. high voltage by means of an HT source, the edge 2 being earthed) to drive the electrostatic drawing of that portion in the form of filaments (26). Application particularly to the production of non woven product.

Le dispositif comprend une plaque conductrice inclinée I délimitant, en coopération avec une plaque conductice verticale 8 disposée à l'aplomb de la partie centrale de la plaque 1, un espace longitudinal 12 en forme de V comportant à sa partie inférieure une ouverture longitudinale 13. Une trémie 15 disposée à l'aplomb des plaques 1 et 8 assure l'approvisionnement de l'espace 12 en matériau thermoplastique, lequel matériau est maintenu à l'état fondu au niveau des plaques 1 et 8 par échauffement de ces plaques par effet Joule. Le bain fondu ainsi réalisé dans l'espace 12 donne lieu alors à la formation d'une couche fondu régulière 25 s'écoulant en continu par gravité le long de la partie inférieure 1d de la plaque 1. La portion d'écoulement 25 arrivant au niveau du bord inférieur 2 de la plaque 1 est ensuite soumise à un champ électrostatique intense suffisamment concentré sur ce bord inférieur (champ assuré par l'application, sur une contre-électrode 18 située à distance du bord 2, d'une haute tension continue au moyen d'une source HT, le bord 2 étant par ailleurs relié à la masse) pour entraîner le tirage électrostatique de cette portion sous forme de filaments 26. Application notamment à la production de produits non-tissés.
