[origin: US4325753A] On degrease annealing of thin strip and foil made of aluminum and aluminum alloys in an annealing furnace ozone is introduced into the furnace atmosphere. As a result of this the annealing time can be shortened or the annealing temperature lowered. Likewise the tendency for the foil to stick together when in coiled form is markedly reduced.

Beim Entfettungsglühen von dünnen Bändern und Folien aus Aluminium und Aluminiumlegierungen in einem Glühofen wird der Glühofenathmosphäre Ozon zugeführt. Durch diese Massnahme kann die Glühzeit verkürzt bzw. die Glühtemperatur gesenkt werden. Die Klebeneigung zwischen den einzelnen Bahnen der zu Rollen aufgewickelten Folien wird ebenfalls stark vermindert.
