[origin: US4349624A] At least one gelatin-containing layer of a photographic silver halide material is hardened with a reaction product of two compounds corresponding to the formulae R(SO2-CH=CH2)n (A) in which R is an n-functional aliphatic, aromatic, cycloalkyl or heterocyclic group and n is an integer of from 3 to 6 and <IMAGE> (B) in which R1 and R2 may be the same or different and represent hydrogen or a lower alkyl group, R3 is an alkyl group, an aminoalkyl group a substituated or unsubstituated aromatic group, a substituated or unsubstituated 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may be attached to the N-atom of (B) either directly or through a carbon-containing group, or R2 and R3 together represent the atoms required to complete a heterocyclic ring system.

Photographisches, Gelatine enthaltendes Silberhalogenidmaterial, gehärtet mit einem Umsetzungsprodukt zweier Verbindungen, die den folgenden allgemeinen Formeln entsprechen: (A) R(SO2-CH = CH2)n worin R einen n-wertigen aliphatischen oder aromatischen Rest, einen Cycloalkylrest oder einen heterocyclischen Rest bedeutet und n für eine ganze Zahl von 3 bis 6 steht, <IMAGE> worin R1 und R2, gleich oder verschieden, ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine niedere Alkylgruppe bedeuten, R3 die Bedeutung einer Alkylgruppe, einer Aminoalkylgruppe, einer cycloaliphatischen oder aromatischen Gruppe hat oder einen 5- oder 6-gliedrigen heterocyclischen Ring darstellt, der direkt oder über eine Kohlenstoff enthaltende Gruppe an das N-Atom gebunden sein kann, oder R2 und R3 zusammen bedeuten die zur Vervollständigung eines heterocyclischen Ringsystems erforderlichen Atome.
