Apparatus for the application of a liquid or pasty product contained in a reservoir enclosing a delivery piston capable of being subjected to a pneumatic pressure created by a pump provided in the apparatus. This pump consists of a peristaltic pump which is in continuous operation when the apparatus is in use and the outlet conduit of which is subdivided into two branches, namely a first branch (25) connected to the base of the reservoir (9) containing the product to be expelled and a second branch (33) which opens out freely to the atmosphere. Moreover, a closure member (34) is provided which makes it possible to close this second branch so that the air delivered by the pump can be directed into the base of the reservoir (9) in order to control the expulsion of the product to be applied. This apparatus may be used for applying, under pressure, all kinds of pasty or liquid product, for example wax finishing, a sealing mastic, adhesive, etc. <IMAGE>

Appareil pour l'application d'un produit liquide ou pâteux, contenu dans un réservoir renfermant un piston de refoulement susceptible d'être soumis à une pression pneumatique engendrée par une pompe prévue dans l'appareil. Cette pompe consiste en une pompe à galets fonctionnant en permanence lors de l'utilisation de l'appareil et dont le conduit de sortie se subdivise en deux branches, à savoir une première branche (25) raccordée au fond du réservoir (9) contenant le produit à expulser, et une seconde branche (33) débouchant librement à l'atmosphère. Par ailleurs, il est prévu un organe obturateur (34) permettant d'obturer cette seconde branche de façon que l'air refoulé par la pompe puisse être dirigé dans le fond du réservoir (9) afin de commander l'expulsion du produit à appliquer. Cet appareil peut être utilisé pour appliquer sous pression toute sorte de produit pâteux ou liquide, par exemple du cirage, un mastic d'étanchéité, de la colle, etc...
