[origin: US4351042A] The invention comprises an arrangement which permits placing a timepiece into a state of minimum energy consumption for storage purposes. It includes a manual control arranged to act on an electronic circuit. When the manual control is briefly actuated the minutes hand may be set to the minute, with a longer actuation causing the hands to advance through one time zone. Should the control be actuated while the hands are in motion during time zone adjustment the hands are stopped and the timepiece is in order for storage. The arrangement is applicable to timepieces which must be stored during a certain period and serves to conserve energy as well as to stop the hands in a uniform position for a collection on display.

Dispositif permettant de mettre une pièce d'horlogerie en état de consommation minimum ou état de stockage. Il comprend une command manuelle (5) qui agit sur un circuit électronique. Lorsque la commande est actionnée un court instant, l'aiguille est remise à la minute; lorsqu'elle est actionnée un instant plus long, la montre franchit un fuseau horaire. L'état de stockage intervient lorsqu'on actionne la commande pendant que les aiguilles parcourent le fuseau horaire. Le dispositif s'applique à des pièces d'horlogerie qui doivent être stockées pendant un certain temps dans le but d'économiser de l'énergie et/ou d'arrêter leurs aiguilles dans une position uniforme pour l'ensemble des montres présentées dans une vitrine.
