Abstract (en)
An electrical connector for a p.c.b. includes a casing (1) of insulating material having upright side walls (4,5) extending from a bottom (3) and between which a contact groove (34) is defined. Contact members in the form of resilient pins (2) penetrate the bottom of the casing and project from it. The pins cooperate with non-resilient movable contact elements (6) in a holder (8) which is inserted into the groove. Consequently the movable contact elements are slid and squeezed between a cooperating pin and the upright side wall furthest from the pin.. By omitting a resilient movable contact member, the connector can be made more cheaply both in respect of material and of the number of mfg. steps required.
