[origin: ES8201862A1] To obtain a short adjustment time with small risk of metal break-out, it is intended during the changing of the dimensions of a continuously cast strand to alter during the casting operation i.e. while the pour or teeming operation is in progress, at least during a time interval of the pivotal movement of the mold wall, the mutual relationship of the displacement speeds of two devices for moving the mold wall and the position of the pivot axis of the mold wall is shifted parallel to its starting position.

Zur Erreichung einer kurzen Verstellzeit bei keinem Durchbruchrisiko soll beim Verändern der Abmessungen eines Stranges beim Stranggiessen während eines laufenden Gusses mindestens während eines Zeitabschnittes (0-1 bzw. 2-3) der Verschwenkbewegung der Kokillenwand das gegenseitige Verhältnis der Verschiebegeschwindigkeiten (21, 22 bzw. 23,24) von zwei Einrichtungen zum Bewegen der Kokillenwand verändert und die Lage der Verschwenkachse der Kokillenwand parallel zu ihrer Ausgangslage verschoben werden.
