Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0029464A1] 1. Feed apparatus on metal-shaping presses, possessing at least one pair of oppositely-located draw-in rollers (4, 5, 6, 7), between which elongated material is drawn into the metal-shaping press in a periodic manner, in amounts corresponding to a defined feed length, at least one draw-in roller (4) being connected to a drive shaft (11), via a crank drive (10) in order to generate an appropriate periodic angular movement, the crank drive possessing at least one connecting rod (14), or drive rod (16), which is coupled directly to cranks on the drive shaft (11), and to the draw-in roller (4), or which is coupled, at least on one side, to one or more intermediate levers (12), at least one coupling point (17), among the coupling points, being provided with an adjusting facility in order to alter the distance from the respective pivot axis or rotation axis, this adjusting facility possessing an adjusting motor (29) which is located on the crank or, as the case may be, on the intermediate lever (12), characterised in that the rotating shaft (22) of the adjusting motor (29) is arranged to be coaxial with the axis (18) about which the crank or, as the case may be, the intermediate lever (12) rotates or, as the case may be, pivots, and in that the draw-in rollers (4, 5, 6, 7) are provided with profiled grooves which are matched to the elongated material which is to be drawn in, and which is in the form of bar or wire.
